Idioms with colours
Have a look at this video, you will learn some English idioms which include colours. Make sure you understand the meaning and then write some sentences using them. You can also look up in your dictionary or surf the Internet to find other examples of idioms with colours. Then you write them in your notebook and give definitions in English to read aloud in class so that you and your classmates learn a few more. It's fun! (Try to translate them into your language, do they have a similar translation?)

Jing and PicPick
These two programmes have been designed to capture images, although Jing can also record videos.
PicPick is easier to use and has tools with which you can modify the images you have captured, for example you can change their size (it has got a zoom function) or you can handle fragments of the image; whereas using Jing this is not possible. However, Jing offers a wider variety of colours.
Both programmes can be used to create graphical explanations on the procedures required for different projects or on the correct use of certain programmes. Consequently both are practical tools for teaching, and also advisable and very usable in the learning process.

The use of Wink to produce useful presentations
Recently I've had the chance of using Wink to make an easy short explanation about the passive voice: how a passive sentence is generated step by step in a very comprehensible way. It surprised me how easily the different frames are produced by using the various tools you are offered ( bubbles, arrows, and a lot of other shapes which you can fill with a comment or a brief explanation) It seems I've found a very useful programme to present my students different grammar issues in a graphic and simple way.
I strongly recommend it to all my colleagues, especially those teaching foreign languages like me. It's worth a try!

Working with pictures
Here there are two new activities which work with pictures and can make students use ther brains and their imagination:
1. Making up stories
Students have to invent a story which includes what can be seen in the pictures, all of them must be relevant to the story. Try this link to see the pictures:

2. Do you know where you are?
Students have to guess in which city they could see what is shown in the pictures. They could also try to give more information about the building they're seeing, about its history or function, by surfing the Internet..Use this link:
